Endoscopy

AMC_08-11-3Dr. Habermehl is now performing gastrointestinal endoscopy. She has recently returned from extensive training in Las Vegas.

Endoscopy is a noninvasive way to view the upper GI tract (esophagus, stomach, duodenum) and lower GI tract (colon, ileum, cecum). This allows us to identify issues such as esophageal structures, esophagitis, gastric ulcers, gastrointestinal neoplasia and much more. Endoscopy also provides an alternative to traditional surgical methods for removing some foreign bodies and collecting tissues biopsies.
